It’s about 7 AM here in New York and I am very bad at going to sleep at night. But I have a few announcements:
- I have a Comfort Cat gig coming up. It’s on September 22nd at 7 PM at ETG Book Cafe. And FYI, I am still looking for someone to open for me–so let me know if you’re interested.
- I’m backing up a singer next month. A talented local singer has asked me to accompany her on ukulele on September 12th, also at ETG Book Cafe. Details to come!
- I’ve joined a new band called Neurofire. A college friend and I started playing music again. We mainly play originals written by both her and I, respectively. You can view one of our latest demos here:
I wrote this song myself a few years ago, but never performed it because my voice isn’t quite right for it. But Hana’s is absolutely right for it and I couldn’t be happier with her performance. I hope you like it as much as I do. <3 <3 <3
This recording is particularly special because the standalone recorder pooped out just before the end. We were, of course, disappointed at first–but the effect was ultimately charming.
We’re currently seeking a bassist and drummer, so let me know if that interests you! Extra points if you want to play Comfort Cat gigs as well as Neurofire gigs.
What else is new… uhhhhhh….
I don’t know. Nothing. Go to bed! Go!!
