Woah! Suddenly, I’m doing all this stuff all at once. Check my events calendar for more information, but I’ve got performances coming on these dates:
- With Grassroots Harmony, Saturday, March 3 at the Peoples Voice Cafe (NYC), 8pm.
- Solo, Tuesday March 5 at Legion Bar (BKN), 10pm.
In other news, the big ol’ charity event last week, Relief, was a huge success, bringing together a packed crowd, and garnering exactly $219.50 in donations! We split the proceeds 50/50 and donated each half to Unidos por Puerto Rico and BRAC-USA, respectively. Congratulations to all who performed and participated in the event!
Well, that’s what happened last week! Other than that, I’m also proud to say that I’ve been sending out emails every week to my TinyLetter list… That is, until this week. My email list days have come to a bit of a hiatus for now because TinyLetter has flagged me! What??
Why did they flag me? I’m not 100% certain, but I think it’s because I mentioned Western Union in my last email, which probably tripped their spam filters. How annoying! I am nothing like a Nigerian prince! (Or even a fake one!) I reached out to their support team yesterday, so we’ll see how soon I can get back to sending out my weekly blasphemies.
UPDATE: I am no longer flagged by TinyLetter! Yay! The customer support rep was very nice, and explained that, indeed, something about what I wrote triggered their system (it was probably my saying “Western Union” after talking about money a lot), but that when a human being read my email they were like “There is definitely nothing wrong with this letter.”
On that note… If you are not yet on my mailing list but would like to be, you can sign up right here:
